You are so right! The motors in the handsets and tablets vary in type and quality very much. That's why Immersion released its new motor control SW (Universal Haptic Layer - UHL) in our free SDK for developers to use that helps to standardize the feeling as much as possible. I think the future of high-end vibe feedback will be piezo motors, but time will tell.
